‘War To Love’ is the latest teaser from Matt Corby’s highly anticipated fourth studio album, Tragic Magic.
Following the singles ‘Long and Short’, ‘Burn It Down’, ‘Big Ideas’ and ‘Know It All’, Corby’s ‘War To Love’ is built around a smooth bass line and co-written with award-winning producer Dann Hume (Genesis Owusu, Tones and I).
“‘War To Love’ is one of my personal favourites from the upcoming record,” Corby shares. “I was raised to believe that love is a choice and sometimes it's not an easy one. Sometimes it really hurts and the act of choosing love is at the expense of your own selfishness and ego. I tried my best to make that sentiment relatable in this song.”
Corby’s forthcoming album Tragic Magic explores the pain and joy of everyday life, from fatherhood to death, and was recorded with long-time co-writer Nat Dunn, and co-producers/co-writers Chris Collins (Royel Otis, Middle Kids, Old Mervs) and Hume.
The ARIA Award winner had this to say about the release: “This record has a big dynamic range of vocal intensity.”

Matt Corby is a special talent who has become a national treasure since coming in second place on Australian Idol.
The three-time ARIA Award winner broke through in 2011 with his hit single, ‘Brother’, certified 10× Platinum and regarded as a contemporary classic.
Corby’s most recent album, 2023’s Everything’s Fine, was critically acclaimed by critics, becoming his third consecutive ARIA Top 10 release and earning both J Awards and ARIA Awards nominations.
