The crew behind Good Things Festival are pumped to announce the addition of rising Aussie viral sensation Maple's Pet Dinosaur.
Despite Good Things being a 16+ event, the 15-year-old and her bandmates have been given special clearance to perform at the festival alongside international heavyweights including Tool, Garbage and Weezer.
Maple’s Pet Dinosaur blew up earlier this year after they shared the music video for their debut single ‘lego’, which was shot entirely on their neighbour’s Ring doorbell camera.
The fish-eye music clip became the most-viewed Instagram reel in history by an Australian-born artist, with over 54 million views and counting. The track also went viral on TikTok and other social media platforms and gained traction overseas, being picked up by radio stations across North America, South America and Europe.
Speaking on the decision to include Maple’s Pet Dinosaur on the Good Things lineup, promoter Chris O’Brien said, “I’m so excited that Maple and her friends no longer have to get fake IDs to attend Good Things 2025! Maple is going to be an absolute force in the future and we are so pumped that her first-ever shows will be on Good Things 2025. The festival isn’t just about the big names, it’s giving opportunities to incredible young artists like Maple a platform to help catapult their careers.”
Maple is just as excited to play Good Things: “My goal for 2026 was to play Good Things, so to tick that box a year early is so sick. I was even planning on making a fake ID to see Refused’s final Australian shows - so I’m glad I don’t have to break the law now.” She laughs.
“We’re at the very start of what I want to be a long career in this scene, and it’s super important to build credibility by proving we can hang in this space. It’s a big challenge and a big opportunity, and I’m grateful for it. If you come see us at Good Things, I promise we’ll make it worth getting in early!”
