Just over a month out from Counting Crows long awatied Australian and New Zealand return, local Aussie legends Kingswood and Auckland-based singer-songwriter MACEY have been announced as tour supports.
The Complete Sweets! tour, which follows the release of Counting Crows’ eighth studio album, Butter Miracle, The Complete Sweets!, will see Kingswood performing at all Australian dates and MACEY at the Auckland shows.
Hailed as one of the great live acts, fans of Counting Crows will be treated to tracks from their new album alongside fan favourites such as ‘Mr Jones’, ‘A Long December’, ‘Round Here’ and more.
Counting Crows The Complete Sweets! Tour begins with two shows in New Zealand at Auckland’s Kiri Te Kanawa on Monday 23 (sold out) and Tuesday 24 March. The band then makes their way to Australia for a concert at Adelaide’s Festival Theatre on Friday 27 March, followed by three sold-out shows – two at the Enmore Theatre in Sydney on Sunday 29 and Monday 30 March and one at Melbourne’s Palais Theatre on Wednesday 1 April. The remaining two gigs take place at Melbourne’s Palais Theatre on Thursday 2 April and Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Monday 6 April.
Final tickets are available for select shows at livenation.com.au.
Counting Crows have been crafting alt-rock goodness for more than 30 years. Led by songwriter and frontman Adam Duritz, Counting Crows made their mark in 1993 with the release of their multi-platinum breakthrough album, August and Everything After, which featured the monster hit single ‘Mr. Jones’.
Since then, the band have dropped seven more albums, including this year’s Butter Miracle, The Complete Sweets!, gone on to sell more than 20 million records worldwide and become known for their iconic live performances.
The band’s Australian and New Zealand return promises to be one not to miss for fans of the band and music lovers in general.
