After touring Australia with Little Birdy in 2025 to celebrate the 21st anniversary of the band’s BigBigLove record, Katy Steele’s upcoming undressed tour was inspired during a transformative period in the artist’s life.
Returning to the studio without any expectations, she enjoyed the freedom that gave her, writing and recording songs that were imperfect and unpolished.
The EP she ended up recording was done so in a single day in July last year, with the collection of songs also drawing on unreleased sessions made over the years in New York and Los Angeles and inspired by Cat Power’s Covers.
The undressed tour is not just a live show - it’s a return to form, a release, and a reminder of the power of simplicity.
