Country music superstar Kasey Chambers has been unveiled as the headliner of South Australia’s biggest country music festival, The Bend Classic.
Taking over Shell V-Power Motorsport Park at The Bend from Friday, October 24 to Sunday, October 26, Chambers joins a massive lineup of talent that includes Tassie country rocker Casey Barnes, Kiwi-born singer-songwriter Kaylee Bell and country duo The Wolfe Brothers.
Following the release of her 2024 record Backbone, Chambers’ eighth studio album to reach the ARIA Album Chart top five, and a national tour, the ‘Not Pretty Enough’ singer-songwriter returns to Adelaide to perform at The Bend Classic.
“I’m looking forward to hitching up the caravan and heading back to one of my favourite gigs to play in South Australia - The Bend Classic,” says Chambers. “I can’t wait to play all my old favourites to the country music fans from all over my home state who come together for this great event. See ya there!”
Also taking to the stage over the weekend are nine-time CMMA award winner Travis Collins, Melbourne rock act Kingswood, and the most recent recipient of the CMMA award for Female Artist of the Year, Max Jackson.
South Australian Music Development Office has joined forces with The Bend Classic to present a selection of emerging Adelaide country artists, including The Flying Squad, Nancy Bates, Scott Rathman Jnr and Brad Chicken & The Bootstraps.

“The Flying Squad are more revved up than a chainsaw cutting through Mallee to announce we’ll be tearing it up alongside country and rock’n’roll royalty at The Bend Classic,” says vocalist/guitarist, Tris Beaumont.
“Line-ups as good as this one don’t happen every weekend, so you’d better believe we’re packing every ounce of chaos and charm. October can’t come quick enough, so dust off your dancing boots, grab your favourite stubbie holder and make some noise with The Flying Squad. See ya trackside!”
South Australian Minister for the Arts Andrea Michaels says that the opportunity for local artists to perform alongside iconic and beloved musicians will make The Bend Classic a not-to-be-missed event.
“The Malinauskas Government is proud to support The Bend Classic to provide an opportunity for some of our state's emerging country musicians to take to the stage and perform in front of thousands of people alongside legendary Australian country artists like Kasey Chambers and Casey Barnes at this event. The Bend Classic demonstrates perfectly how arts and culture go hand in hand with major sporting events, it's going to be an extraordinary weekend.”
Shell V-Power Motorsport Park CEO Alistair MacDonald concurs. “The Bend Classic is building year-on-year with our country music theme,” he says. “A passion of our Directors is investing in local talent and working with the Music Development Office we are looking forward to providing an opportunity for some of our local emerging artists to play alongside the greats.”
The Bend Classic 2025 is held at Shell V-Power Motorsport Park at The Bend from Friday, October 24 to Saturday, October 26. Tickets on sale now via thebend.com.au.
