Sydney singer-songwriter Josh Pyke is celebrating the 20th anniversary of his mini-album, Feeding the Wolves, with a five-date Australian tour.
One of the country’s most decorated lyricists, Pyke’s career includes seven studio albums, four ARIA Awards and countless tours across the globe.
After performing a special orchestral concert in Adelaide last April, Pyke is pumped to be back on the road, performing all the tracks from Feeding the Wolves alongside his biggest hits in intimate venues across the country.
To coincide with the tour, Pyke is releasing Feeding With Wolves on vinyl for the very first time, with every copy sold signed by the man himself. The record is available to pre-order now via Mushroom Music and will arrive on October 24.
Pyke’s Feeding the Wolves and Other Stories 20th anniveresary tour begins at Sydney’s City Recital Hall on Saturday 1 November and continues with dates at Brisbane’s The Princes Theatre on Thursday 6 November, Melbourne’s Recital Centre on Friday 7 November and Adelaide’s The Gov on Friday 14 November, before coming to an end at Perth’s The Rechabite on Saturday 15 November.

“21 years ago, I was working in a record store, chipping away at demos for a solo project, and dreaming of being a full-time musician. One year later I signed with Ivy League records, released Feeding the Wolves, and my entire life changed,” Pyke explains.
“I remember playing the Sydney leg of the Big Day Out in 2005 and seeing the crowd trickle in during my set until it was at capacity by the end. The same day ‘Middle of the Hill’ entered the Hottest 100 at number 19, and I pretty much hit the road touring and never stopped.
“FTW was nominated for an ARIA that same year, and suddenly I was sitting at a table pinching myself, surrounded by artists who’s records I’d been selling at the store the year before. I was signed to Island records in the UK and Europe and started heading back and forth across the world touring in the UK, mixing records in New York and playing festivals like Glastonbury.
“It was a wild time, and I feel like it’s only now that I can reflect on it with a bit of distance. This 20-year period has been the craziest whirlwind and the biggest adventure I could have ever imagined. I can’t wait to play the songs and tell the stories that kicked that adventure off to celebrate a career that I’m immensely grateful for, and incredibly proud of.”
Fresh from wowing audiences across the UK and Europe and supporting the likes of James Taylor and Passenger, Pyke will be bringing a career-defining experience to crowds across the country this November.
