Jorja Smith’s bumper year continues with the UK soul singer dropping not one, but two awesome new tunes.
Fresh from her huge tour of Australia, Smith shared the double A-side ‘Loving You’ / ‘Don’t Let Me Go’.
Produced by Ed Thomas (Stormzy, Nia Archives, Paloma Faith), ‘Loving You’ is a gentle piano ballad Smith wrote with rapper Maverick Sabre some ten years back. Having recently rediscovered the track, Smith gave it a facelift and released it into the world.
Also written around the same time was ‘Don’t Let Me Go’, another emotion-filled tune addressing themes of attachment and self-reflection. Produced by New Machine, the track features harmonies from Sabre over a lightly stum guitar riff.

‘Loving You’ / ‘Don’t Let Me Go’ follow Smith’s clubby ‘High’ and demonstrate her tremendous songwriting ability.
After the release of her acclaimed sophomore album falling or flying late last year, Smith has been on something of a tear. She earned a BRIT nom for falling or flying and then released both a deluxe version and a reimagined version of the album, with both well received by fans and critics alike.
Having toured the record across the US, UK, Europe and, most recently, Australia, Smith has announced a special run of five UK shows next summer.
