Following the release of her intoxicating Roeith Geraghty produced single, ‘THIS CITY’, ixaras is back with another tasty morsel in the form of ‘DO YOU LIKE GIRLS?’.
A major step forward in ixaras’ evolution as an artist, the track is another intimate offering exploring themes of sexuality and identity.
“‘DO YOU LIKE GIRLS?’ is a song that helped me better understand my own sexuality,” says ixaras. “Every time I’ve shared it, whether in a small room or online, the response has been overwhelming. So many people have told me how it helped them feel seen, or helped guide them through their own experiences. That connection means everything. I knew this song needed its own moment.”
ixaras has also revealed she’s hitting the road for three special shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane this July. The series of concerts will see ixaras perform ‘DO YOU LIKE GIRLS?’ live for the first time, along with a collection of unreleased tracks that may never even be released.
Each performance will combine ixaras’ emotionally charged indie pop with immersive visuals and high-octane energy, featuring a rotating lineup of special guests and support acts in each city.
The three-date tour kicks off at the Espy Basement in Melbourne on Friday 12 July and continues with gigs at Sydney’s Inner West Pride Centre on Saturday 13 July and Brisbane’s The Triffid Garden on Saturday 20 July.
Tickets for all three shows are on sale now via linktr.ee/ixaras.
