MusicSA and City of Mount Gambier are excited to present In Conversations, a free event featuring The Bennies Anty Horgan and Ollie Roots and Montaigne talking about their experiences in the Aussie music scene.
Held at The Riddoch Arts & Cultural Centre in Berrin/Mount Gambier, this event is a must for anyone involved in the music industry, with the three artists sharing insights into carving out a successful career in music and discussing the highs and lows they’ve experienced.
As members of The Bennies, Anty and Ollie have released five records, toured both locally and internationally and achieved great critical and commercial success.
The two will speak on the importance of building long-lasting relationships and navigating the challenges of the indie scene, discussing the adversity they’ve faced and how they’ve stayed resilient, how to embrace the entrepreneurial spirit, and the hard work and perseverance needed to build a career spanning more than 15 years.
Anty and Ollie will be joined by ARIA Award-winning talent Montaigne, whose career highlights include debuting at #4 on the ARIA Album Chart with her first album, Glorious Heights, and scoring a #2 ARIA Single Chart hit with the Hilltop Hoods collaboration ‘1955’.
With over a decade of experience in the music scene, Montaigne will speak on the importance of collaboration, pushing creative boundaries, staying true to yourself and standing up for what you believe in.
Both Anty and Ollie and Montaigne will participate in a Q&A session after speaking, giving those in attendance the chance to ask questions and pick each artist’s brain.
