Bad news for Illy fans with the Victorian rapper pushing back the release of his seventh album, Good Life. The two-time ARIA Award winner has also had to reschedule his tour dates from November to March/April 2025.
Good Life will now arrive on November 15 while the new dates for Illy’s tour take place across March and April next year, with the first show at Melbourne’s 170 Russel on Friday, March 28 2025. This is followed by gigs at Brisbane’s Princess Theatre on Friday, April 11, Sydney’s Factory Theatre on Saturday, April 12 and Adelaide’s The Gov on Saturday, April 19.
Taking to Instagram to discuss the situation, Illy revealed he’s spent months “trying to avoid this outcome” and admits it’s a “tough one” to take.
Those unable to attend the new dates are eligible for a full refund, while Illy promises he’ll make it up to fans with album launch parties to be announced at a later date.

“Hi guys, bit of news.
“My album Good Life, has been pushed back from this Friday to November 15th. It’s not on me, and I’ve spent months on calls/emails/text/carrier pigeon trying to avoid this outcome, but.. yea, no luck. As a result, we’ve also had to push the tour back. We got the earliest availabilities we could. The choice was either perform an album that isn’t/barely out (let alone you’ve had time to live with), or reschedule the tour. Tough one.
“To say I’m disappointed is beyond an understatement. I want to apologise to everyone looking forward to the album and the tour. I’m sick over it, and the thought that this is letting people down. All i can say is, I’m really sorry guys.
“We all go through shit, and this one stings, but ultimately it’s one of those shitty things I’ve just gotta get through, then get on with it. But when you back something, even if it means setbacks, dramas, or making hard decisions, don’t compromise. Back yourself! And now, the only thing on my mind is that Good Life is out November 15th, and i really, truly, can’t wait for you to hear it. Same as before, just now more.
“All tickets are 100% refundable, but hold onto them - the shows WILL be worth the wait. Before then, I’m throwing launch parties to celebrate Good Life in its new release week. I’ll announce details for those soon, and I’d love you to come thru. I’ll talk a bit about the album, maybe even perform a cheeky track or two off it, and we can kick off the silly season, the most Good Life time of year, a little early.
“Big love, illy Al x”
