Hugh Cornwell Reschedules 2026 Australia Tour
The original voice of The Stranglers has moved his tour to December.

Legendary singer and guitarist Hugh Cornwell has been forced to reschedule his upcoming June tour to December.
Tour promoter Troubadour Presents released a statement about the new dates, revealing the tour change was “due to unforeseen circumstances.”
The statement reads: “Due to unforeseen circumstances, the upcoming Australian tour for Hugh Cornwell will be postponed until December 2026.
“All tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled dates, however refunds will be available if you cannot make the new date.
“We sincerely appreciate your patience and support, and look forward to seeing you later this year for what promises to be a very special run of shows.”
Now taking place in December, Cronwell’s Australian tour kicks off on Friday 4 December at Manning Bar in Sydney. Cornwell then plays Brisbane’s Crowbar on Saturday 5 December, followed by dates at Adelaide’s The Gov on Sunday 6 December, Perth’s The Rosemount on Wednesday 9 December and Castlemaine’s Theatre Royal on Friday 11 December, with the tour coming to a close at the Northcote Social Club in Melbourne on Saturday 12 December.

The original voice of The Stranglers, Hugh Cornwell, formed the seminal punk rock outfit in 1974 with bassist Jean-Jacques Burnel, drummer Jet Black and keyboardist Hans Wärmling.
Throughout his time with the band, The Stranglers released 10 studio albums, including No More Heroes and Black and White, which both peaked at #2 on the UK Album Charts, before Cornwell left in 1990 to pursue a solo career.
Across a career spanning more than five decades, Cornwell has released a host of solo albums, over ten live albums and collaborated with a slew of musicians, poets and writers.
