Ascensions Fall – ‘The Almanac Penance’
Extreme symphonic metal is a sub-genre that embodies cinematic soundscapes immaculately. Blending intense heaviness with illustrious artistic arrangements that dive into classical explorations or synth-driven theatrics, it is a perplexing yet enrapturing adventure. Ascensions Fall is Ljem Mohor’s brilliant brainchild and an enchanting endeavour he executes alone. ‘The Almanac Penance’ embodies that astounding aura of a horror film soundtrack; the composition actually suits the 2017 movie The Ritual eerily well.
