After weeks of speculation, Good Things Festival’s much-anticipated 2024 lineup has finally dropped, and boy is it a dozy!
Taking place in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane this December, the metal, punk and alternative festival is headlined by nu-metal pioners Korn, Canadian punk rockers Sum 41 and 90s alternate favs Violent Femmes.
Other notable acts making up this year’s bill include Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan performing with Australia’s own The Delta Riggs, Slayer axeman Kerry King, prog rockers Mastodon, alt-punkers The Gaslight Anthem (making their Australian return after almost a decade) and riot grrrl act L7.
When it comes to the Aussie contingent, The Living End, Jet, The Butterfly Effect and Alpha Wolf are just some of the acts playing, along with Killing Heidi, who will perform their hit album Reflector in full.
This year’s festival also sees the return of Stage 666 where you can catch all kinds of crazy stunts, including knife-throwing and feats of bodily transgression from Princess Tweedle Needle. A special guest from Berlin’s underground nightclub scene will also be making an appearance.
Good Things Festival 2024 will be held at Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne on Friday, December 6, Centennial Park in Sydney on Saturday, December 7 and Brisbane Showgrounds in Brisbane on Sunday, December 8.
Both the Melbourne and Brisbane festivals are 15+, while Sydney is now 16+ after originally being an 18+ event.
Pre-sale tickets go on sale this Tuesday, August 27 at 9:30am local time. Sign up for access to pre-sale via the Good Things Festival website. General admission tickets will be available from Thursday, 29 August, at 9:30am local time via Oztix.

Since its inception in 2018, Good Things has quickly become Australia’s premier alternate, punk and metal festival, taking over the mantle once held by the now defunct Soundwave Festival.
Last year’s event was headlined by Fall Out Boy, Limp Bizkit and Devo and was a roaring success.
Organiser took to social media earlier this year with a message to fans promising an even bigger 2024 festival: “We are beyond excited to be working behind the scenes to assemble our 2024 lineup for you. We know that music festivals have been in the news for the wrong reasons of late, but we are here and can’t wait for December to roll around once again!”
After looking at this year’s stacked bill, it’s hard to argue with the organisers. Good Things has once again delivered a lineup balancing big name international acts with awesome local bands that’s sure to be another sell out.
Good Things Festival 2024 tickets go on sale next week via Oztix.
