‘Valium & Sushi’ is the second new track from George Alice to be released this year.

Ahead of her BIGSOUND 2025 showcase shows, Adelaide’s own George Alice has shared her second new track of the year, ‘Valium & Sushi’.
An indie pop celebration that follows the previously released ‘SOS’, Alice’s new tune was written with Keenan Te and Blue Nude.
Taking to social media to share the release of ‘Valium & Suchi, Alice described the track as “an ode to my chaotic teenage life & Adelaide.”
‘Valium & Sushi’ and ‘SOS’ are the first new songs from Alice since 2023’s ‘kryptonite.’ and announce the next chapter in her musical evolution.

George Alice broke out in 2019 when her debut single ‘Circles’ took out triple J’s Unearthed High competition.
She followed up three years later with her debut EP Growing Pains, and has gone on to perform at Laneway Festival and the Australian Open, as well as support the likes of Yung Blue, Broods, Cub Sport and Tash Sultana.
This week, Alice performs at BIGSOUND 2025, with the singer-songwriter telling us in a recent chat how excited she is for the showcase and why these types of events are “important to provide space for young artists and emerging talent.”
