GAYC/DC Reschedule Australian Tour

You can now catch GAYC/DC performing in Adelaide in August.

AC/DC tribute act GAYC/DC have been forced to reschedule their upcoming debut Australian tour.

Unfortuantely “due to unforeseen circumstances”, GAYC/DC will now be performing across the country through August. Not only have they announced new dates, but they’ve also added two bonus shows in Coffs Harbour and Ballarat. Read the full statement below:

“We're disappointed to let you know that, due to unforeseen circumstances, the GAYC/DC Australian tour has been postponed to August 2026.

“We're currently finalising the new dates and will share them with you shortly. All existing tickets will remain valid for the new dates. Please check your inbox for communications from your ticket seller.

“Once new dates are announced, refund options will be made available for those who cannot attend. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. Bring on August!”

The rescheduled tour dates kick off at Brisbane’s The Brightside on Thursday 13 August. Dates then take place at Mo’s Desert Clubhouse on the Gold Coast on Friday 14 August, Mary’s Underground in Sydney on Saturday 15 August, Hoey Moey in Coffs Harbour on Sunday 16 August, Ed Castle in Adelaide on Wednesday 19 August, Milkbar in Perth on Thursday 20 August and The Prince in Melbourne on Friday 21 August, with the final show at Volta in Ballarat on Saturday 22 August.

All tickets purchased are valid for the rescheduled shows, so keep your tickets. Those yet to get tickets can do so via tributetouring.com.

Founded by Christopher Freeman (bassist for queercore pioneers Pansy Division) alongside drummer Brian Welch, with support from bassist Glen Pavan and guitarists Topher Ruby and Steve McKnight, GAYC/DC have earned plaudits for their outrageous covers of classic AC/DC songs.

Described by Kerrang! as “Glam/Sassy/Porn/Punk/Metal/Dirty Rock ’n’ Roll… with class,” GAYC/DC take the catalogue of AC/DC and turn the songs into a celebration of all things queer, putting their own twist on the heavy rockers stacked backcatalogue, reworking thie likes of ‘Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap’ into ‘Dirty Dudes (Done Dirt Cheap)’ and ‘Whole Lotta Rosie’ into ‘Whole Lotta Jose’.

Fans can expect an evening of high-energy, sweat-soaked action when GAYC/DC head down under in August.
