Western Australian-based indie rockers Fool Nelson’s much-anticipated new EP Bad Dreams has arrived.
Produced and mixed by Andy Lawson (The Buoys, Death by Denim) and mastered by George Georgiadis (Ruby Fields, Hockey Dad), Bad Dreams is five tracks of masterful indie rock inspired by the band’s family and friends.
The EP includes the previously released singles ‘Don’t Feel Right’, ‘Bad Dreams’ and ‘Big Shot’, along with two unheard tracks, ‘After All’ and ‘Forget It’.
“Overall, the EP is about sticking close to the people you love,” explains Fool Nelson’s Darcy Steven. “Often we've found ourselves pushing away those relationships when things are difficult or uncertain, but we're learning to put those things first amidst anxiety, ambition, and uncertainty. For us, the EP definitely serves as a bit of an outlet for our anxieties, but hopefully also serves as a reminder of what's important.”
The release of Bad Dreams coincides with Fool Nelson announcing they are now represented by Harry Young at Pure Represents for worldwide bookings, have partnered with Rick Bridgman at Good Intel for management and signed a global recording deal with AWAL.
Currently touring the country in support of Bad Dreams, Fool Nelson performs at The Brightside in Meanjin/Brisbane tonight, Friday 17 October. The tour continues with dates at Solbar in Maroochydore/Sunshine Coast on Saturday 18 October, The Lansdowne Hotel in Eora/Sydney on Friday 24 October, La La La’s in Dharawal/Wollongong on Saturday 25 October and two shows at The Y HQ in Boorloo/Leederville on Friday 31 October and Saturday 1 November. The final two gigs take place at Port Beach Brewery in Boorloo/North Fremantle on Friday 7 November and Harbord Hotel in Garigal/Freshwater on Friday 5 December.

Fool Nelson are rising stars in the Aussie music scene. Named 'Ones To Watch' by triple j and selected as the Unearthed Competition Winner for Busselton's One Night Stand, the trio of brothers Tom and Ned Broadbent and good mate Darcy Steven are kicking ass everywhere they go.
Their single ‘Bad Dreams’ hit the top five most played songs on triple j while Fool Nelson were cover stars of Spotify’s Rock Out playlist. They’ve shared the stage with a host of Aussie acts, including Spacey Jane, Old Mervs, Ball Park Music, The Grogans and The Rions, and performed at a stack of festivals, such as YPER FEST, NYE On The Hill, Out & About Festival, Groovin the Moo Festival and Tone City Records Festival.
The lads sold out their national tour earlier this year before supporting Skegss on their Top Heavy Australian tour, with their latest run of shows receiving glowing reviews.
