Indie folk band Florist are touring Australia this year in support of their latest album, Jellywish.
The project of American singer-songwriter Emily Sprague, Florist have been making emotionally moving music for close to 15 years. In that time, the band have released five albums, including 2025’s Jellywish.
The album was well received by critics, with Pitchfork calling it “tender yet expansive” and The Line of Best Fit proclaiming the album “Florist's most intimate work to date.”
Florist’s upcoming Aussie trip follows on from her debut 2024 tour, with the band locking in 11 shows across November and December. The tour begins in Melbourne at Brunswick Ballroom on Thursday 13 November. Florist then performs at Town Folk Festival in Castlemaine on Saturday 15 November, followed by shows at Canberra’s Gang Gang Cafe on Sunday 16 November, Sydney’s City Recital Hall on Wednesday 19 November, Eltham’s The Eltham on Friday 21 November, Brisbane’s Season Three on Saturday 22 November, Mt Glorious’ Elm House on Sunday 23 November and the Mapleton Pub in Mapleton on Wednesday 26 November.
The final three shows of the tour take place at The Scenic Hotel in Adelaide on Tuesday 2 December, at Archies Creek Hotel in Archies Creek on Saturday 6 December and Meredith Music Festival in Meredith on Sunday 7 December.

Forming in 2013 after Emily Sprague met Rick Spataro and Jonnie Baker while living in Albany, New York, Florist added drummer Felix Walworth and released their debut EP, We Have Been This Way Forever, that same year.
The band followed up with two more EPs in as many years – 6 days of songs (2014) and Holdy (2025) – before dropping their debut album The Birds Outside Sang in 2016.
Florist have gone on to release a total of five studio albums and earned a reputation for their intimate and enthralling live performances.
