Having supported Metallica on the Australian leg of their M72 World Tour, along with performing three intimate headline concerts, alt-rock greats Evanescence return this year for a fully fledged Australian and New Zealand tour.
The Grammy Award-winning rock outfit is hitting the road in support of their new album Sanctuary, out today, Friday 5 June. Featuring production from Zakk Cervini (Bad Omens, YUNGBLD, Bring Me The Horizon, Spiritbox), Jordan Fish (Bring Me The Horizon, Poppy, House of Protection, Architects) and Nick Raskulinecz (Korn, Foo Fighters, Rush), this is Evanescence’s first album in five years.
Vocalist Amy Lee shares, “This album is over three years in the making, and finally listening back to it all at once, about to release it to the world, I am so damn proud of every second of it. It’s overwhelming. Working on it has been my outlet for so much that feels wrong and out of control, and a place to ignite hope through the power of music and connection… good thing we have the tour all lined up or I wouldn’t know what to do with myself now! I’ve been completely obsessed. I’m dying for the fans to hear this.”
Kicking off their massive world tour this month with shows across North America, the UK and Europe, Evanescence will touchdown in Australia in March 2027, with their first concert at Perth’s RAC Arena on Friday 5 March.
Next up is Adelaide’s AEC Arena on Sunday 7 March, followed by dates at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Tuesday 9 March, Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on Friday 12 March and Brisbane’s Entertainment Centre on Tuesday 16 March, with the final show in New Zealand at Spark Arena in Auckland on Saturday 20 March.
