Emerging Adelaide indie outfit Pearly Stars dropped their first studio EP The Greatest Gift over the weekend.

Comprising four genre-defying tracks, including the previously released single ‘Sympathy’, the EP is an impressive debut from the local trio of Claudia Rennie (bass/lead vocals), Cormac Lee (drums) and Felix Mir (guitar/vocals).

Engineered and recorded by Matt Schultz (The Empty Threats, Twine) and mixed and mastered by Finn Larcombe (Genevieves, Druid Fluids, Bat Country) at Interim Studios, The Greatest Gift is Pearly Stars’ most cohesive work yet.

The Greatest Gift is a culmination of the last year, a whirlwind of love, queer joy, and outward musical expression, made to get your heart feeling and your body moving,” the band said in a statement. “Through a wide range of sounds to target every emotion, for a wide range of audiences, Pearly Stars made the greatest possible gift for you.”

Pearly Stars have also released an official music video for the track ‘Sympathy’, crafted by the band and LAMEPICTUREFRAME, which you can check out below.
