UK pop superstar Ed Sheeran has shared the tour supports for his upcoming 2026 Loop tour of Australia and New Zealand.
The massive run of stadium shows take place across January, February and March next year, and will see the ‘Shape of You’ hitmaker joined by singer-songwriter Vance Joy (all dates), emerging Melbourne artist Mia Wray (all shows), all-female Irish trad supergroup BIIRD (NZ + Perth) and Irish singer Aaron Rowe (Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne + Adelaide).
“I feel very fortunate to be getting to open for Ed around Australia and New Zealand,” says Vance Joy. “He is a legendary artist. I am inspired by his songwriting and by his ability to hold any crowd no matter the size in the palm of his hand, and just by the way he goes about it all. It’s going to be a great run and I’m excited to get to play a part in it! What a pleasure!”
Mia Wray adds, “I saw Ed Sheeran play in Brisbane 2013 and it blew my mind. The first cover I ever uploaded to YouTube was ‘A Team’, so it’s such a huge honour to be asked to support him, I can’t bloody wait.”
Kicking off his tour in New Zealand, Sheeran performs two shows at Auckland’s GO Media Stadium on Friday 16 and Saturday 17 January, Wellington’s Sky Stadium on Wednesday 21 January and Christchurch’s Apollo Projects Stadium on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 January.
Sheeran makes his way over to Perth for two gigs at Optus Stadium on Saturday 31 January and Sunday 1 February. He then performs three shows at Sydney’s Accor Stadium on Friday 13, Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 February, three dates at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium on Friday 20, Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 February and a further three concerts at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium on Thursday 26, Friday 27 and Saturday 28 February. Sheeran wraps things up in Adelaide at Adelaide Oval on Thursday 5 March for what promises to be a huge party.

Ed Sheeran’s Australian and New Zealand tour comes hot on the heels of the release of his eighth studio album, Play. Preceded by singles ‘Azizam’, ‘Sapphire’, ‘Old Phone’, ‘A Little More’ and ‘Camera’, the album became Sheeran’s ninth consecutive UK #1 album, also topping the charts in Australia, New Zealand and Germany.
The album was inspired by Indian and Persian cultures, along with his Irish heritage, and received mainly positive reviews.
