DZ Deathrays are back with another sample of their upcoming album, Easing Out of Control.
‘Pissing In The Breeze’ is an adrenaline-filled shot to the arm of crushing riffs and electronic flourishes that explores the end of the world. It’s the sixth track shared from the album, following ‘Sideways’, ‘Real Love’, ‘Skyline’, ‘Like No Other’ and ‘First Night Fever’.
Arriving Friday 16 January 2026 (pre-order/pre-save here), the album was originally proposed as two EPs showcasing the trio’s heavy rock meets experimental pop sound, but has been combined into one, ten-track album showcasing the band’s unique sounds.
“This song was one of the first songs we wrote towards this project,” says Shane Parsons. “It's a robotic, punchy, fast-driven song that borrows electronic elements with glitchy loops propelling it forward the entire way through.
“Lyrically this track is all about the destruction of the planet and the failed attempts and backwards steps we take as humanity to try to correct the issues. It was a song that originally stayed really static, and we added the bridge chord progression to open up the song, and while jamming with Luke Henery (Bass), he came up with the monster ending.”
The trio of Shane Parsons (vocals/guitar), Simon Ridley (drums) and Lachlan Ewbank (guitar) have locked in six shows to coincide with the release of Easing Out of Control.

Easing Out of Control features Violent Soho’s Luke Henery on bass and was recorded at DZ’s home studio.
“This is a record that dips in and out of chaos and more delicate moments,” says vocalist and guitarist Shane Parsons. “We wanted to bring in more dance music elements, but still keep that raw DZ sound alive.”
