If Dune Rats and FIDLAR embarking on a joint tour isn’t enough to get you up and about, the two bands have dropped a new collab to celebrate the start of their tour.
‘Dead, Rich or In Jail’ is one and a half minutes of blistering punk rock from the loose units that’s everything you could ever want from a Dune Rats and FIDLAR team up. It’s not the first time the two bands have worked together, with FIDLAR’s Zac Carper producing the Dunies 2017 album, The Kids Will Know It’s Bullshit.
Speaking on the tune, Dune Rats say: “It’s our first time since The Kids Will Know It’s Bullshit collaborating with Zac from FIDLAR which was awesome to do again. We drew inspiration from that mate everyone has who’ll either end up dead, rich or in jail…..for us that friend’s name is Felix.
“It’s also the first time we’ve recorded a track entirely in our own studios, and is definitely the shape of Dunies to come. Psyched to play it on tour yew!”
You can listen to ‘Dead, Rich or In Jail’ below.

The release of ‘Dead, Rich or In Jail’ comes as Dune Rats and FIDLAR embark on their joint Australian tour, which kicked off last night in Jindabyne. The lads have nine more dates lined up across August and September, including a stop in Adelaide at Hindley Street Music Hall next month.
Having been pals for close to a deacde, the bands have a close relationship, with the Dunies having this to say about their American counterparts: “The FIDLAR/Dunies relationship has honestly been a touring brotherhood that has seen us ping pong all over the world. It’s been the best part of a decade playing shows together that started when they first came to Australia doing venues half the size of the ones we are playing on this tour.
“Showing them the Aussie diet of beer and BBQs plus a bit of surfing and partying meant that when we wanted to tour the US, they bundled us into a van and spent 3 months seeing the States - from Gator Back scratchers in Florida to the bright lights of New York City.
“We went to the UK last year to play shows together and that’s where this tour came to fruition. Can’t wait to show them how crazy it is to play in Australia this time round, will definitely fit a few snags in too.”
FIDLAR adds: “The Dunies are like your favourite cousin that you only get to see every couple of years. You've known them forever, you like them more than some of your other cousins, you crack each other up, get into trouble, have a few heart-to-hearts even....when we get together...it's like a psycho little family reunion!!! Truly kindred Ledge Lords!”
Don’t miss out on the boozy antics from Dune Rats and FIDLAR when they arrive in Adelaide this September for what’s shaping up as one hell of a party!
