Jake Bugg Announces Seventh Album 'Alamo', Shares New Single 'Never Can Tell'
The UK singer-songwriter has said this is his most personal work to date.

UK singer-songwriter Jake Bugg is back with new single 'Never Can Tell', the first teaser taken from his upcoming seventh studio album, Alamo, out Friday 13 November via Thirty Tigers.
'Never Can Tell' is a little different to Bugg's usual output, with the acclaimed songwriter leaning into the world of country, with the track a rollicking anthem about knowing who to trust when you become successful. It also sounds like the Allman Brothers' 'Jessica', which is best known as the theme song to Top Gear.
As for Alamo, Bugg's latest record is his first released through an independent label and finds the Nottingham product reconnecting with the indie folk influences of his early work on his most personal effort to date.
"After all the years of touring and making records, it just felt like the right time to look inward," Bugg says of the album. "The last couple of years have been tough for me, and I've had a lot of struggles. I'm trying to navigate those and figure out where they stem from.
"Alamo was only going to work if I was going to be honest and be as vulnerable as possible. I've always had a lot of defences and barriers around me. I thought it was time to bring those down."
The record was produced by a multi-Grammy-winning duo of producers Jimmy Hogarth (Anohni, Amy Winehouse, Paolo Nutini) and Steve McKewan (Chris Stapleton, Carrie Underwood, Eminem).

Breaking out as a teenager with his 2012 self-titled debut album, which is triple-platinum and topped the UK Albums Chart, Bugg quickly cemented himself as one of the UK's most remarkable voices.
He's gone on to release a further five albums, four of which made the Top 10 of the UK Albums Chart, received two BRIT Award nominations and performed all over the world.
Now 32, he is older, wiser and ready to share the last two years of his journey with fans on new album Alamo.
