It's all happening in the world of Adelaide outfit TONIX, with the electro-punk trio invited to perform at the PIN Music Conference + Showcase Festival in Skopje, North Macedonia.

Taking place this November, PIN unites European artists and industry leaders for three days of showcase concerts, panels, workshops and networking.

TONIX is the first-ever Aussie artist to be invited, so it's a pretty big deal for the trio of Sammi Keough, Henry Brill Reed and Archie McEwen.

The group were handpicked by the event's founder and director, Login Kochishki, who wrote this in his letter confirming the selection of TONIX for the showcase: "We believe this showcase will be a valuable opportunity for TONIX to connect with European agents and festival bookers ahead of further activity in the region."

Not only is TONIX heading overseas for PIN, but the trio have also announced a launch party for their forthcoming new EP. Taking place at Lion Arts Factory on Friday 23 October, the night will feature TONIX performing tracks from their new release with support from emerging indie band Sticky Beak, live electro act Altezza and fresh face Ezzie.

If that has already got you hot under the collar, there will be a stack of DJs spinning tunes across the two stages, for what is effectively a five-hour dance party!

"Incredibly grateful to have the chance to tour Europe on the back of sharing our brand new EP," the band said in a statement to The Note. "Come celebrate with us and fill Lion Arts Factory to the brim."

Proceeds from tickets will help fund TONIX's trip to Macedonia, but if punters really want to do their bit, they can give an additional donation when buying a ticket. There are four tiers available, which the band have broken down below:

  • A$10 Donation = €6 = 1x Red Bull whilst on the road
  • A$25 Donation = €15 = 1x band member meal
  • A$50 Donation = €30 = 1/4 tank of petrol for tour van
  • A$100 Donation = €60 = 1x bed night for band member

"There's no obligation to spend above the standard ticket price if you don't feel comfortable doing so. Just seeing people turn up, party, dance, and have fun is more than enough for us. There are incredible South Australian acts on this line-up, and we know it’s going to be a fun one!" TONIX said.

Tickets are on sale now at moshtix.com.au.
