The announcement comes after an altercation between Alien Ant Farm’s Dryden Mitchell and CKY’s Chad I Ginsburg during their UK tour.

CKY have been officially booted from their joint Australian tour with Alien Ant Farm, with heavy rockers Drowning Pool taking their place.
The swapping out of CKY for Drowning Pool comes a few weeks after an altercation between Alien Ant Farm’s Dryden Mitchell and CKY’s Chad I Ginsburg during their UK tour.
Several hours before both bands were set to take the stage at Margate’s Dreamland Festival on November 9, Alien Ant Farm frontman Mitchell took to social media to reveal Ginsburg allegedly tried to punch him in the face.
Part of the statement that has now been deleted read: “Chad from CKY hasn’t figured out how to cohabitate with others after all these years.
“They will no longer be on the Alien Ant Farm Tour through the rest of the UK shows after Chad punched me in the face earlier today. I’ve watched him treat multiple crew members and opening band members like trash through the Europe shows and cause general drama around our camp.”
Ginsburg took to social media to defend himself in several now-deleted posts where he argued he was defending himself, commenting: “I had to protect myself. It was a split second reaction to a very angry guy muttering then yelling #*%! at me from 10ft away charging at ME, into my personal space! Coming at me. He was attacking me! I felt a physical threat and had I not tried to avoid the attack, I would have been assaulted. For f—- sake.”
While it certainly sucks that CKY will no longer be heading Down Under, Drowning Pool is a fantastic replacement, with the band altering their personal and professional schedule to join Alien Ant Farm on their February 2025 tour. Since reuniting with vocal powerhouse Ryan McCombs, Drowning Pool have been getting awesome reviews for their live shows.
