Born in Flint, Michigan and raised in Las Vegas, Dizzy Wright burst onto the American hip hop scene in 2011 after signing to fellow rapper Hopsin's independent record label, Funk Volume.
He earned a spot on the 2013 XXL Freshman Class (alongside Travis Scott and Joey Bada$$) and appeared ready for mainstream success, but instead of joining the major label system, he decided to remain independent, culminating in the top 5 Billboard success of his sophomore album, The Growing Process.
For the past 15 years, Wright has been a shining light of the independent rap scene, releasing a wide range of projects, including albums, mixtapes and collaborative releases.
Catch Dizzy Wright performing at UniBar Adelaide on Friday 8 May. Tickets on sale at moshtix.com.au.
