Formed in Glasgow in 1980 by Justin Currie, the addition of guitarist Iain Harvie in 1982 helped Del Amitri on their journey towards chart success.
While they found early success in Scotland, it wasn’t until the release of their 1989 album Waking Hours, which features the enduring hits ‘Nothing Ever Happens’ and ‘Kiss This Thing Goodbye’, that Del Amitri breakthrough.
Finding fame in the ‘90s with ‘Always the Last to Know’ and their biggest US hit, ‘Roll to Me,’ Del Amitri continued to release music and tour until going on hiatus in the early ‘00s.
Officially reforming in 2018, Del Amitri have continued to tour the globe performing to sold-out crowds and are currently working on their eighth studio album, which is set for release later this year.
