Death metal purveyors Dead Congregation are set to tour Australia and New Zealand in 2026. This marks the band’s first Aussie jaunt since 2022 and their inaugural run of shows in New Zealand.
Despite not having released a full-length studio album since 2014’s critically acclaimed Promulgation of the Fall, the Greek ensemble has made their mark as a touring band, focusing on the atmospheric dread of death metal rather than the technical side of things.
Joined by fellow death metal and grind outfit Concrete Winds, Dead Congregation have locked in eight shows across 11 days in February next year.
The Winds of Doom Tour commences at The Brightside in Brisbane on Wednesday 4 February. Dates follow at Sydney’s Metro Social on Thursday 5 February, Melbourne’s Stay Gold on Friday 6 February, Hobart’s Altar Bar as part of Extreme South Festival on Saturday 7 February, Adelaide’s Ed Castle on Tuesday 10 February and Perth’s Amplifier Bar on Wednesday 11 February.
Dead Congregation and Concrete Winds then finish the tour with two shows in New Zealand at Auckland’s Double Whammy on Friday 13 February and Wellington’s Valhalla on Saturday 14 February.
Tickets for all shows go on sale at 12pm on Tuesday 30 December via southernextremeties.com.

Born out of the demise of the band Nuclear Winter, Dead Congregation formed in Athens in 2004 and took their name from an old Nuclear Winter song.
For more than two decades, the band has been ripping up stages across the world with their moody take on death metal, releasing two full-length studio albums – Graves of the Archangels (2008) and Promulgation of the Fall (2014) – and several EPs, with the most recent being 2016’s Sombre Doom.
Comprising vocalist and lead guitarist Anastasis Valtsanis, bassist George Skullkos, rhythm guitarist T.K. and drummer Vagelis Voyiantzis, Dead Congregation are ready and roaring to go when they touch down in February next year.
