Sydney rockers Cog are gearing up for the release of their first single in six years, and to celebrate, they have dropped a run of national tour dates.
‘Walk the Line’ arrives Friday 26 September (pre-save/pre-add here) and will be the band’s first single since 2019’s standalone track, ‘Drawn Together’.
To coincide with the release of ‘Walk the Line’, Cog have shared a stack of tour dates, with the three-piece locking in ten shows across the country this November and December.
The tour begins with three shows in Queensland at Cairns’ Tanks Art Centre on Friday 28 November, Townsville’s The Warehouse on Saturday 29 November and Mackay’s McGuires on Sunday 30 November.
Cog then perform at Newcastle’s King Street on Thursday 4 December, Brisbane’s Brightside Outdoors on Friday 5 December, Caloundra’s Kings Beach Tavern on Saturday 6 December, Melbourne’s Max Watts on Friday 12 December, Sydney’s The Metro on Sunday 14 December and Adelaide’s The Gov on Thursday 18 December, with the final show taking place at Byron Bay’s Great Northern on Saturday 20 December.
Tickets for Cog's headline shows go on sale Friday 12 September at 9am AEST via https://linktr.ee/cog101.

Coming out of the Aussie alt-rock scene of the ‘90s, Cog quickly established themselves as ones to watch.
The trio of vocalist and guitarist Flynn Gower, drummer Lucius Borich and bassist Luke Gower dropped the EPs Pseudo (2000), Just Visiting Part One (2002) and Just Visiting Part Two (2002) before blowing up with their debut 2005 album The New Normal.
Cog became a constant on the touring circuit and followed up The New Normal with Shifting Space three years later. The album peaked at #2 on the ARIA Album Chart and was nominated for Album of the Year by triple j.
Taking a five year hiatus, Cog returned in 2016 with a sold-out tour, with new music following in 2018. Since then Cog have sporadically released new singles and toured, and after a long battle to reclaim ownership of their music, the band are embarking on a new chapter in their story.
While still unsure of what this entails, Cog are excited to be making new music and thankful for all the support they’ve received over the journey.
“Whatever the future holds, we would like to once again express the deep gratitude we have to all the people who have supported the band over the years and continue to do so. It's never gone unnoticed,” Cog shares. “We hope you enjoy the new music we've created together.”
