Fresh from supporting Sex Pistols on their recent Australian tour, CIVIC have revealed a run of Australian headline shows this September.

The announcement comes as CIVIC prepare for the release of their third album, Chrome Dipped, which was produced by Kirin J. Callinan.

Arriving this Friday, May 30 via ATO Records, the album has produced three singles – ‘The Hogg’, ‘Chrome Dipped’, and the just-released ‘The Fool’, which has been described by the band as a “nihilistic death march about dreamers and idiots.”

Heading out on the road with Adelaide’s own Coldwave, CIVIC have locked in five dates, beginning with a gig at Mo’s Desert Clubhouse on the Gold Coast on Thursday, September 4. The punk rockers then hit Brisbane’s The Brightside on Friday, September 5, Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory on Saturday, September 6, and Adelaide’s Ed Castle on Friday, September 12, before bringing the tour to an end at The Croxton in Melbourne on Saturday, September 13.

Tickets for all five shows are on sale now via civicivic.com.

Founded in 2017, CIVIC currently comprises vocalist Jim McCullough, guitarist Lewis Hodgson, bassist Roland Hvlaka and drummer Eli Sthapit.

Releasing their debut album, Future Forecast, in 2021, the band quickly established their garage punk credentials and followed up their first record with 2023’s Taken By Force.

Currently touring America before heading to the UK and Europe for a bunch of shows, CIVIC can’t wait to get back home and perform tracks from their new album for Aussie fans this September.

Catch CIVIC at Ed Castle on Friday, September 12. Tickets on sale now via civicivic.com.
