As he prepares for the release of his new album, A Love For Strangers, Chet Faker has revealed a run of Australian dates taking place across February and March.
Dropping on Friday 13 February via BMG, A Love For Strangers marks Nick Murphy’s third album under the Chet Faker alias and includes recent singles ‘Far Side of the Moon’, ‘Inefficent Love’, ‘This Time For Real’ and latest track ‘Can You Swim?”.
Faker is taking his new album on the road, performing shows in Australia, Europe and North America from February to July. His Aussie leg of the tour begins in Adelaide, with Faker playing new festival A Day In The Gully on Saturday 28 February. Dates follow at Melbourne’s Riviera Beach Club on Sunday 1 March, Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall on Tuesday 3 March, Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Wednesday 4 March and Perth’s Ice Cream Factory on Friday 6 March.

Chet Faker first broke through almost 15 years ago with the release of his debut EP, Thinking In Textures, which included his viral cover of Blackstreet’s ‘No Diggity’.
He followed that up two years later in 2014 with his debut album Built on Glass, which went straight to #1 on the ARIA Album Chart and collected five ARIA Awards, including Best Independent Release and Best Male Artist.
Faker has gone on to release four more albums, one under his alias Chet Faker, and three as Nick Murphy, with the most recent being 2021’s Take in the Roses.
