Oklahoma City sludge rock outfit Chat Pile are finally making their way down under this June, announcing an eight-date tour of Australia and New Zealand.
The noise rock quartet were originally booked to perform at this year’s Dark MOFO before announcing a run of headline shows.
They will be joined on the road by Beastwars for their Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Kiwi shows.
Commencing in Perth at The Rechabite on Tuesday 9 June, Chat Pile’s long-awaited Australian and New Zealand visit continues with shows at Sydney’s Manning Bar on Thursday 11 June, Melbourne’s Max Watts on Friday 12 June, Hobart’s Dark MOFO on Saturday 13 June, Brisbane’s The Triffid on Sunday 14 June and Lion Arts Factory in Adelaide on Tuesday 16 June, with the final two gigs in New Zealand at Auckland’s The Tuning Fork on Thursday 18 June and Wellington’s San Fran on Friday 19 June.

Describing themselves as “noise rock”, Chat Pile take influence from a wide range of genres, including post-punk, nu metal and grunge.
Their doom meets sludge rock sound has resulted in seven EPs, a slew of singles and three studio albums, God's Country (2022), Cool World (2024) and last year’s acclaimed In the Earth Again, a collaborative record with avant-garde musician Hayden Pendigo.
Fans can expect to hear songs from across Chat Pile’s entire career, with tickets available now.
