It’s been a unique journey for Cameron Whitcomb, who left home at the age of 17 and got a job on the Trans Mountain Pipeline. Introduced to Johnny Cash by his brother, Whitcomb quickly fell in love with music and discovered his passion for singing and performing.
Whitcomb began uploading videos of himself covering songs to Reddit, was discovered by an American Idol executive and soon found himself on the show, finishing in the top 20. This experience cemented his desire to become a full-time musician, leading to his 2024 breakthrough EP Quitter – a collection of country folk songs exploring Whitcomb’s journey overcoming addiction.
After touring North America and Europe, Whitcomb got back in the studio and released this year’s The Hard Way, another powerful and personal work that debuted at #1 on the Canadian Country Albums chart.
Currently touring North America on his I’ve Got Options Tour alongside Jonah Kagen, Whitcomb’s upcoming debut tour of Australia and New Zealand is one not to be missed.
