The most recent release in boredslide’s ambitious 2026 release schedule, which sees the band share a new song every fortnight throughout the year, is the effervescent surf pop sparkler ‘(feels like) nothing at all’.

The project of Melbourne musicians Nick Bond and Carlos Tinsey (Kitschen Boy, DIET), boredslide is built around a simple self-imposed rule: release one track every two weeks, with no song exceeding two minutes in length.

The band takes inspiration from a wide range of genres, with ‘(feels like) nothing at all’ exploring the process of releasing negativity and accepting circumstances beyond your control.

“Our writing and producing process is fairly consistent after so many reps, but the tone and subject matter of our tracks can vary a fair bit,” the duo says. “There are plenty of goofy, happy-go-lucky tracks out there, but this track is pretty sombre. It's about letting go of negativity by letting it wash over you - I suppose that makes it pretty cathartic as well."

Since the release of their first track ‘DRSABCD’ in January, boredslide’s relentless release schedule has seen them gain attention from a host of major media organisations and tastemakers.

The plan is to release all 26 songs as a limited cassette compilation that will be the only physical release of the project.
