After returning in April with their eighth studio album and fourth ARIA Album Chart #1, The Moon (The Light Side), Aussie hip hop legends Bliss n Eso have revealed they have a second album ready to go.

Arriving October 3 via Flight Deck/Mushroom Music (pre-order here), The Moon (The Dark Side) will be the trio’s ninth album and is preceded by first single, ‘Chemical Heart (GEED UP)’.

If the title sounds familiar, that’s because the track samples the Grinspoon song of the same name. Surprisingly, it works, with Bliss n Eso having this to say about the tasty track: “When Grinspoon gave us their blessing to sample Chemical Heart years ago, we knew we had something seriously special. Bringing our raps and modern-day hip-hop production to this classic just fit perfectly… Seriously can’t wait to play this banger live!”

Before The Moon (The Dark Side) drops, Bliss n Eso are embarking on a massive 32-date tour from May to August. The Party on the Moon Tour comes in support of the lad’s The Moon (The Light Side) and sees them performing in both capital cities and regional areas.

The Party on the Moon Tour kicks off in Toowoomba at The Powerhouse on Friday, May 23. Bliss n Eso then performs in a host of cities and towns across the country, including Bryon Bay, Gold Coast, Coffs Harbour, Adelaide, Newcastle, Gosford, Frankston, Melbourne, Townsville, Mackay, Jindabyne and Airlie Beach, before bringing the epic tour to an end in Darwin on Saturday, August 23.

Special guest Ivan Ooze has been enlisted to support Bliss n Eso on tour.

Tickets for all shows are on sale now via frontiertouring.com.

Alongside Adelaide’s own Hilltop Hoods, Bliss n Eso are arguably at the top of Australia’s hip hop scene, having helped push the culture forward over the past 25 years.

Comprising emcees Bliss and Eso and DJ Izm, the trio have eight albums under their belt, including four #1 ARIA Album Chart releases – Running On Air (2010), Circus in the Sky (2013), Off the Grid (2017) and this year’s The Moon (The Light Side Up).

Bliss n Eso have won two ARIA Awards for Best Urban Release for their 2008 album Flying Colours and Best Music Video for their 2017 single ‘Moments’, two MTV Awards and an APRA Award.

The Party on the Moon Tour promises to be a celebration of Bliss n Eso’s career with a setlist combining tracks from their upcoming album and classics from across the journey.
