The Southern Hemisphere’s largest music showcase, BIGSOUND, celebrates its 25th anniversary this September, with artist applications now open here.
A showcase of the incredible musical talent that makes up Australia and New Zealand, applications are open until 11:59pm on Wednesday 1 April, with no extensions.
The application process is simple: just submit the members in your band, social media profiles, notable career achievements, streaming and ticketing stats, a short bio, two tracks that best showcase your sound, a high-quality artist image and a video. And don’t forget to mention why you are applying for BIGSOUND and how you think it can benefit your band.
The who’s who of the international music industry takes part in BIGSOUND, with everyone from labels, promoters and managers to bookers, venues and the media gathering in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley for a week-long celebration of local music.
Taking place between 1-4 September, those accepted will play curated showcases in front of fans, A&R representatives, bookers and more, including delegates from The Great Escape and Reeperbahn Festival.
Those selected to attend BIGSOUND will perform at multiple venues and get the chance to meet face-to-face with industry experts and special guests.
You’ll also have access to the full BIGSOUND festival, including after parties and the Artist Hub, while also receiving one delegate pass granting access to the full BIGSOUND Program and Delegate Portal (valued at $899) and the chance to purchase discounted delegate passes.
BIGSOUND has uncovered some absolute gems over the journey, including the likes of Flume, G Flip, DMA’s, The Temper Trap, Lime Cordial, Gang of Youths, Confidence Man and Tash Sultana.
More information regarding keynote speakers, special guests and panellists will be revealed in the coming months in the lead-up to BIGSOUND 2026.
