After a massively successful run of shows across 2025 with his hilarious I’ve Noticed So Many Things, It’d Be Unfair To Keep Them To Myself stand-up show, Guy Montgomery returns next year with a new hour of comedy.

The New Zealand comedian's new stand-up, What Do People Do All Day?, dives deep into everyday life, with Montgomery set to share his thoughts on being a first-time father and what people really get up to during the day.

"Man oh, man! I took the last year off touring stand-up comedy to fulfil the role of a lifetime (being dad), and I say in absolute sincerity, it has been the best year of my life. I love being dad," Montgomery posted on Instagram.

"HOWEVER, there is more to me than being dad, and in 2027 I am excited to expand upon this role to become... occasionally absent dad, as I bring a brand new hour of stand-up comedy to AUSTRALIA.

"What will I be discussing? How about THE BIG STUFF! My life has been a ceaseless parade of days, and I have a suspicion yours has too. My intention is that we can get to the bottom of this, together."

Montgomery's tour gets underway in Melbourne as part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival from Tuesday 6 to Sunday 18 April at the Athenaeum Theatre and Hamer Hall. The Kiwi comic then plays Gold Coast's HOTA on Friday 7 May, followed by Brisbane's QPAC Concert Hall on Friday 4 and Saturday 5 June, Thirroul's Anita's Theatre on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 June, Adelaide's AEC Theatre on Friday 16 and Saturday 17 July, Geelong's Costa Hall on Sunday 18 July and Perth's Astor Theatre from Thursday 22 to Saturday 24 July.

After a few weeks' break, Montgomery gets back on the road and plays Newcastle's Civic Theatre on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 August, Canberra's Llewellyn Hall on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 July, Hobart's Odeon Theatre on Thursday 26 August and Sydney's State Theatre on Friday 27 and Saturday 28 August.

Live Nation pre-sale begins at 11am AEDT on Wednesday 4 November, followed by the general on-sale at 12pm AEDT on Thursday 5 November. Ticketing information is available at livenation.com.au.
