Billy Boyd Added To Supanova Adelaide Lineup

Supanova Comic Con & Gaming Festival has announced a very special guest as part of this year's Adelaide event, with Scottish actor Billy Boyd joining an already mammoth lineup of pop culture stars.

He replaces Karl Urban, who has unfortunately been forced to cancel his appearance due to an upcoming project.

Boyd is best known for playing Peregrin "Pippin" Took in Peter Jackson's Academy Award-winning The Lord of the Rings trilogy, and will join his fellow TLOTR alum Samwise Gamgee, aka Sean Astin.

Also making their presence felt are franchise co-stars Kiran Shah (also of Aliens and Star Wars fame) and Bruce Hopkins (Xena: Warrior Princess), along with the The Hobbit trilogy's Jed Brophy, Stephen Hunter and Shane Rangi (The Chronicles of Narnia).

This year's Supanova lineup includes several of the Colonel Mariens from Aliens, with Mark Rolston (Supernatural, Star Trek), Jenette Goldstein (Terminator 2, Near Dark), Daniel Kash (Star Trek: Discovery), Cynthia Dale Scott (Night of the Demons) and Carl Toop (Alien Warrior in Aliens) all appearing alongside The Scoundrals Tommy Gofton (The Deadliest Dungeon), Andrew Wincott (Baldur’s Gate 3), Mela Lee (Mortal Kombat 11, Apex Legends), Carolina Ravassa (Overwatch, X-Men ’97), Lucie Pohl (Overwatch, Red Dwarf XI), Jason Spisak (Arcane, Young Justice) andFaye Mata (Konosuba!, Fate/Apocrypha

They join the likes of the legendary Christopher Lambert, Alan Tudyk and Sara Tomko, who are all part of Supanova's Adelaide edition at Adelaide Showground from Friday 30 October to Sunday 1 November.
