Yellowcard Announce ‘Ocean Avenue’ 20th Anniversary Australian Tour

The alt-rockers will be joined on tour by Motion City Soundtrack and Plain White T's.

American rockers Yellowcard are embarking on an Australian tour in 2025 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of their acclaimed fourth album, Ocean Avenue.

Peaking at #23 on the US Billboard 200 and certified platinum in the States, the album features fan favourites ‘Way Away’, ‘Ocean Avenue’ and ‘Only One’.

Heading our way for the first time since they broke up in 2017, having reformed in 2022, Yellowcard are keeping emo dreams alive by bringing along pop-punk outfit Motion City Soundtrack and pop rock act Plain White T’s.

“It has taken us a long time to sort out bringing the 20th anniversary of Ocean Avenue to Australia, but we promise it will be worth the wait! This line-up is so good, and we can’t wait to reconnect with our fans down under,” Yellowcard said in a statement about the tour.

Yellowcard and co commence their Australian tour at Perth’s Metro City on Wednesday, April 2 before performing at Adelaie’s Hindley Street Music Hall on Friday, April 4, Melbourne’s Margaret Court Arena on Saturday, April 5 and Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion on Wednesday, April 9. The tour wraps up with gigs at Newcastle’s Bar On The Hill on Friday, April 11 and Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall on Sunday, April 13.

Those super keen on tickets can sign up for early bird tickets here, with pre-sale kicking off at 4:30pm local time on Tuesday, December 10. General public on-sale starts at 8:30am on Thursday, December 12 via promoter Destroy All Lines.

Yellowcard was formed in 1997 and became known for their pop-punk meets rock sound that included the use of the violin. Breaking through with 2003s Ocean Avenue, Yellowcard released a total of ten albums across two decades before calling it quits in 2017.

The band reformed in 2022 for an exclusive set at Chicago’s Riot Fest, which then turned into several more festival performances before Yellowcard announced a North American tour commemorating the 20th anniversary of Ocean Avenue.

Thankfully for Aussie fans, the band have extended the tour to our shores next year for what promises to be one hell of an emo pop punk experience.
