Unwritten Law fans rejoice – the Cali punk rockers have announced a special gig at The Gov on Tuesday, October 15.
Heading Down Under as part of the Hotter than Hell 24 lineup, the ‘Lonesome’ and ‘Cailin’ hitmakers weren’t scheduled to play the Adelaide leg of the festival, only locked in for the Victorian and Western Australian dates. But knowing how much we love them here in the City of Churches, Unwritten Law has revealed they will be visiting in October for a special solo show at The Gov.
“You didn't think we'd leave the rest of you hanging, did you?” the band said in a statement. “We're so excited to announce that along with our WA and VIC Hotter Than Hell dates we'll be visiting Adelaide to bring you the best Unwritten Law show you've seen yet!”

Formed in 1990, Unwritten Law’s career has spanned 34 years and produced seven albums and six top 50 Billboard Alternative Airplay songs, including #1 single ‘Seein’ Red’.
The band became massive in Australia after the release of their third self-titled album in 1998. Touring the country as part of the Warped Tour in 1999, Unwritten Law’s songs resonated with local audiences, leading to their fourth album, 2002s Elva, peaking at #17 on the ARIA Charts.
Although the band’s output has been sporadic throughout the 00s, their most recent album, 2022s The Hum, was well received and saw the return of founding member Wade Youman, reuniting with Scott Russo on record for the first time since Elva.
