It’s that time of year again. Adelaide’s favourite community radio station, Three D Radio, is hosting its annual Radiothon.
Kicking off this Friday, August 9 at 5:00pm and running until 12:00pm on Sunday, August 18, the ten-date supporter drive is a chance for you to get behind community radio by forking out your hard earned and subscribing to Three D Radio.
There are various subscriptions on offer, with the money raised going towards the running and upkeep of the station. As all the staff at Three D are volunteers, the station relies on subscribers, along with the odd grant, to stay on the air.
This year’s Radiothon is extra special as Three D celebrates its 45th birthday, with the station having broadcast progressive and alternative music to South Australians since 1979.
To acknowledge this massive milestone, the station has enlisted graphic designer and illustrator Annika Burnside to develop a new logo that will feature on this year’s Radiothon merch, which includes t-shirts, tote bags and stubby holders.
