Thirsty Merc Announce ‘Electric Summer’ Australian Tour
The Aussie rockers have locked in 21 dates across the country, playing both big cities and regional towns.

Thirsty Merc is hitting the road for three months this summer after locking in a massive 21 dates across the country.
The ‘Electric Summer’ Australian tour comes after last year’s sold out ‘20 Good Years’ tour that saw the band celebrating their 20th anniversary. This new tour promises to be another unforgettable live music experience for Thirsty Merc fans, with the band performing tracks from across their entire career.
The tour begins in Brisbane at The Brightside on Friday, November 15 and hits a plethora of cities and towns, including Sydney, Belmont, Fremantle, Castlemaine, Yamba, Devonport and of course, little old Adelaide. The final date of the tour lands on Sunday, January 12 at Longley Hotel in Longley.
Discussing the new tour, frontman Rai Thistlethwayte had this to say:
“As a band with over 20 years experience, we feel so fortunate and grateful to be able to plug our instruments in, harness the electricity in the air and continue to perform for our legendary fans and listeners. We reckon the Aussie Summer combined with great music is the most fun you can have on Earth, and The Merc will be giving you everything we’ve got when we hit stages all around this beautiful country!”

Forming in 2002, Thirsty Merc released their self-titled debut album a year later, finding success with the single ‘In The Summertime’, which has been the theme song for the hit TV show Bondi Rescue for 18 years.
Having sold over 250,000 albums, received an impressive five ARIA nominations and constantly sold out tours across Australia, Thirsty Merc remains an awesome live act that never fails to disappoint.

The German singer-songwriter will be supported by Australia’s own Mélancolia.
