Aussie indie rockers The VANNS are back with ‘Gas Craic’, a reimagined version of the song of the same name from their 2025 album All That’s In My Head.
Written during The VANNS UK tour, the track highlights the ups and downs of life on the road, with this new version featuring country music star Brad Cox. He might seem like a strange choice, but Cox has previously covered The VANNS’ track ‘Silhouette’, with both acts fans of each other.
“‘Gas Craic’ was one of the first songs to come together in the writing process of our third record. It was written relatively quickly after our tour in the UK and the song encapsulates some memorable moments from that tour,” the band shares.

‘Gas Craic’ arrives after a massive 2025 that saw The VANNS release their third studio album, All That's in My Head. The record debuted at #5 on the Australian Charts and featured the hit single ‘Millionaires’, which debuted at #3 on the Vinyl and AUS Albums charts and #27 on the main ARIA Albums Chart.
The band have performed sold-out shows both here in Australia and across the US, supported the likes of The Kooks, The Wombats and Inhaler, while also playing acclaimed festivals such as Splendour In The Grass, Falls Festival, Yours & Owls, and The Great Escape UK.
The VANNS collaboration with Brad Cox showcases their range and acts as a powerful reminder of why the band remain one of Australia’s most compelling rock acts.
