The Pharcyde Headline UniBar & Cloisters Block Party

Hip hop fans are in for a treat, with The Pharcyde headlining UniBar & Cloisters' Block Party, a new mini rap fest taking place Sunday 6 December.

Coming out of South Central Los Angeles, The Pharcyde broke through in 1992 with their acclaimed debut album, Bizarre Ride II the Pharcyde. Opening for acts like Tribe Called Quest and participating in tours like Lollapalooza, The Pharcyde dropped a slew of '90s classics, including 'Passin' Me By', 'Drop' and 'Runnin''.

The group's Adelaide show will feature the original members Imani, Slimkid3, Fatlip and DJ Cee Brown. 

The Pharcyde will be joined by an array of local talent including groundbreaking APY lands outfit DEM MOB, rap and production duo Bloomy Meadows & Inkswel, R&B vocalist Erin Buku and, in collaboration with Adelaide University's Centre for Aboriginal Studies in Music (CASM), Arrernte hip hop artist Bousta and Kahn will also be performing.

DJ Delta will be on the decks spinning West Coast hip hop anthems all day.

Along with the incredible music, the day will involve 3x3 basketball games, Wing's World dishing up tasty fried chicken, record store pop-ups by Inner Tribe and Jewels of Thought and more.

This indoor and outdoor event kicks off from 4pm and runs long into the night.
