The Filipino band are celebrating their 40th anniversary.

Legendary Filipino rock outfit The Dawn are bringing their Kwarenta 40th Anniversary Tour to Australia and New Zealand in April.
Recognised as one of the most iconic bands in Filipino music history, having released over a dozen albums, including their acclaimed 1989 record Beyond the Bend, the band have also performed shows all across the world.
The Dawn’s tour begins in Adelaide at the Arkaba Hotel on Saturday 18 April, followed by a show in Melbourne at a still to be announced venue on Friday 24 April. The band then plays Perth’s Swan Italian Club on Sunday 26 April, before two shows in New Zealand at Wellington’s Arise Church on Friday 1 May and Auckland’s Westlake Girls High School Event Centre on Saturday 2 May, with the final show taking place at Sydney’s ICC Sydney on Friday 8 May.

Formed in 1985, The Dawn are among the most influential bands to emerge from the Philippines. With a career spanning four decades, The Dave have released several hit albums and timeless anthems, including ‘Enveloped Ideas’ and ‘Salamat’.
Their music helped define the Original Pilipino Music (OPM) movement and continues to resonate with audiences across generations.
The current lineup of original members JB Leonor (drums) and Jeff Pangan (vocals, guitar) are joined by Francis Reyes (guitar), Rommel Sanchez (guitar) and Bim Yance (bass), and are excited to head our way for a run of shows for the first time in years.
