Rising Aussie stars Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers are hitting the road this November in support of I Love You Too (pre-order/pre-save here), the deluxe version of their fantastic debut album, I Love You.
Arriving September 20 via Domestic La La in AU/NZ and Mom + Pop for the rest of the world, I Love You Too features three new tunes – the recently released collaboration with Softcult, ‘Dull’, and two previously unheard songs, ‘Please Me’ and ‘we thought it would be a good time but it was a bad time’.
Discussing the delightful ‘Dull’, which acts as a companion song of sorts to the band’s ‘I Used To Be Fun’, vocalist Anna Ryan says: “Dull has similar themes to ‘I Used To Be Fun’. We had been talking about how it feels to not have that motivation like we used to, to go out and party, and that it’s often harder to sit with yourself and be alone with your thoughts rather than just distracting yourself with thing after thing!
“The lyrics ‘find it hard to take it slow, burning out and now it shows’ really resonates with me and I think it’s like coming to terms with the fact that distracting yourself constantly is unsustainable. It’s good to learn to just sit with stuff and take it frikken easy!!”
You can watch the Michelle Pitiris-directed music video for ‘Dull’ below.
