Legendary singer John ‘Swanee’ Swan has reunited with his brothers Jimmy and Alan Barnes for new single, ‘Brother of Mine’.

Taken from Swanee’s upcoming new album Believe, which is out now via Songland Records, ‘Brother of Mine’ is an emotional ballad from the three siblings that gives all three the space to shine.

“We have never actually recorded together… and now that we finally have, it’s an amazing feeling,” Alan explains. “It’s something that I have always wanted to do since the day I first started to sing, looking up to and respecting both of my big brothers because they have both influenced me to be the kind of singer that I am now.”

“This song is the reason Believe was made,” Swanee confirms. “It brought us together in a way we’ve never done before — not just as brothers, but as artists sharing the same space, telling our story.”

Believe is Swanee’s first album in over a decade and features 16 tracks, 15 of which are duets with his friends and family.

The album includes two original tracks – ‘Where Is My Soul’ and ‘There Is a Road’, along with covers of Bob Dylan, Stevie Wonder, Brooks & Dunn and more.

The guest list is a who’s who of Aussie music royalty, with his brothers Jimmy Barnes and Alan Barnes joined by his niece Mahalia Barnes, Jon Stevens, Colin Hay, Diesel, Joe Camilleri, Wendy Matthews, Russell Morris, Dave Gleeson, Rick Springfield, Jack Jones, Ian Moss, Steve Kipner, Tommy Emmanuel and Kevin Borich.

Swanee is selling physical copies of the album, both on CD and vinyl via Songland Records and his own website to make sure the profits go directly to him and not a third party like Spotify.

Believe by Swanee is available to purchase via Songland Records and johnswan.net.au.
