Spacey Jane Releases 'Live At The Hordern Pavilion' Film & Album

Gearing up for a massive run of shows across Australia in November and December, Freo outfit Spacey Jane have surprised fans with the release of a live concert film and album, Live At The Hordern Pavilion.

As the title suggests, the recording was taken during the quartet's sold-out shows at Sydney's Hordern Pavilion during their If That Makes Sense album tour.

Directed and edited by ARIA-nominated Australian-born, LA-based film director Dan Lesser, with acclaimed Australian music photographer Charlie Hardy roped in as the live camera director, the recording was previously released as an exclusive vinyl for Record Store Day earlier this year.

"We've dreamed about shows like these since before we started this band. We're so glad we captured this weekend and that we can share it with the world - it's etched into our brains forever," the band shared in a statement.

"We're so grateful for the people that come to our shows from Sydney to London and everywhere in between, and our crew that bring it all together. Playing shows is the best part of our job and a dream come true."

Fans keen to experience Spacy Jane in the flesh can catch them on their extensive run of Australian shows this November with special guests Telenova and Amrlock.

The Heading Back Down Under Tour gets underway in Brisbane with two shows at Riverstage on Thursday 26 and Friday 27 November. Then it’s off to Melbourne for two more concerts at Sidney Myer Music Bowl on Friday 4 and Saturday 5 December, followed by a performance at Adelaide’s The Drive on Sunday 6 December.

Spacey Jane then play Sydney Opera House Forecourt on Thursday 10 and Friday 11 December, wrapping things up with hometown shows at Perth's ICF: Outdoor on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 December.

The release of Live At The Hordern Pavilion arrives just months after the band's six-track EP Exit Wounds, which included the singles 'Do You Really Love Her', 'East Village' and 'I Never See Her'.

This year has also seen Spacey Jane play Governors Ball, Lollapalooza and Osheaga festivals, complete an extensive run of US headline dates and support Rainbow Kitten Surprise.

Spacey Jane's upcoming Australian tour is their biggest yet and cements the four-piece as Aussie indie royalty.
