Adelaide’s premier alt-country, roots, and blues festival returns this October with a stellar lineup of musical talent. Celebrating its 20th year, the Semaphore Music Festival takes place over the October long weekend and features both local and national acts performing in various locations around Semaphore.
The main festival is held at the stunning Semaphore Foreshore Reserve from Friday, October 4 to Monday, October 7. The community-driven festival includes live music, carnival rides, gourmet food trucks and a great range of craft beer.
There are also several events planned around the Sepmphore area at venues including Semaphore Workers Club, Mr V Music, The Exeter Hotel, St Bed’s Anglican Church, The Cumberland Hotel, The Palms Hotel and Sweet Amber Pizza & Beer.
The live music program kicks off Friday, October 4 at the Semaphore Workers Club with Dusty Lee’s Blues Jam. The following night, Saturday, October 5 sees Hana and Jessie Lee’s Bad Habits performing alongside Mark Curtis & the Flannelettes for Saturday Night Live, which promises to be a wild night of music and dancing.

Taking to the main stage on Sunday, October 6 at the Semaphore Foreshore Reserve will be Bunna Lawrie & Coloured Stone, the Lachy Doley Group, Stefan Hauk, Hana & Jessie Lee’s Bad Habits, Oscar the Wild, and Emerauld. For those who want to kick on, Paul & the Road, Courtney Robb and Snooks La Vie will be getting down and dirty at the SWC After Party later that evening.
The closing night of festivities on Monday, October 7 will be headlined by The Audreys. Joining them are the soulful Kelly Menhennett, Nancy Bates, Axe and the Ivory and My Cherie.
The Semaphore Music Festival is also holding a special night of local live music at The Cumberland Hotel on Saturday, October 5, with the lineup to be announced soon. Mr V Music will provide a soundtrack of indie, pop and rock tunes across the weekend while also hosting the Mr V Music Record Fair at St Bede’s Church.
In the lead-up to the Semaphore Music Festival expect more details to be released regarding food vendors and market stall operators.
