San Cisco Announce ‘Miles Away’ Regional Tour Part 1

The trio have also revealed they have new music on the way this month.

It feels like a long time between drinks, but indie favs San Cisco are finally back, announcing a run of regional shows and the release of single 'Miles Away', out Thursday 15 October, their first new music since 2024's Under The Light.

"'Miles Away' is a song about being together, but alone, loving someone deeply while feeling them retreat somewhere you cannot follow. But don't worry - it's all wrapped up in a sugary pop song so it's easy to swallow!" says the band's Jordi Davieson.

The band's upcoming shows are the first in two years for Davieson, Josh Biondillo and Scarlett Stevens, who's back behind the drums as a new mum.

Fans heading along will get a taste of the band's new music alongside all their favourite San Cisco cuts, such as 'Awkward', 'Fred Astaire' and 'Run'.

On hitting the road, the band says: "We are so ready to get out on the road and visit some of our fave regional towns on the East Coast! We've got a small selection of fresh tracks to throw in the mix, including our soon-to-be-released single 'Miles Away'! We can't wait to have a singalong and dance with you all! Let's party! We've missed you all dearly."

San Cisco begin their regional run of dates on Wednesday 18 November at the Leichhardt Hotel in Rockhampton, followed by shows at Mackay's McGuires on Thursday 19 November, Townsville's The Warehouse on Friday 20 November and Cairns' The Jack on Saturday 21 November. The. trio then hit King St Bandroom in Newcastle on Thursday 26 November and Wollongong's UOW Uni Bar on Friday 27 November, wrapping things up in Canberra on Saturday 28 November at UC Hub.

Bursting onto the scene with their 2010 EP Golden Revolver, it was San Cisco's follow-up EP Awkward, which included the title track that became a triple j favourite, that really pushed them into the spotlight.

They've gone on to release five albums, including 2015's Gracetown and 2020's Between You And Me, peaking respectively at #2 and #3 on the ARIA Albums Chart, won seven West Australian Music Awards and established themselves as one of the country's great indie pop outfits.
